Coffee Filter Flower Ball
Can you tell I love to use coffee filters in my crafts?? I love how these flower balls have a hydrangea look to them - the make a great addition to table decorations!
To make these balls, all you will need is:
Coffee filters
Small polystyrene ball (the bigger the ball, the bigger your flower ball will be)
Paper clips
Scissors
How to make a Coffee Filter Flower Ball
Start off with one of your coffee filters flattened out, before folding in half 5 times as shown below.
Once this is done, cut the end of the folded coffee filter as shown below.
Repeat these steps one more time, and when you reach the step where you cut the rounded shape, cut just a little more off the length. Now, flatten your two filters out and place on top of each other.
Once you have your filters laid out like the picture about, pinch the centre underside and gather the filters together.
At this point, if you have a stapler it can be helpful to staple the end to hold your flower together. The next step will require you to take a paperclip and unfold it to make the shape below.
Next, pierce both ends of this paperclip through the centre of your flower and out the 'stem' end like so.
Once this has been done, you can attach the single flower to the polystyrene ball by pressing the paperclip ends in.
You will now need to repeat this process until your polystyrene ball is covered with the desired amount of coffee filter flowers.
