Macramé Necklace

A macramé necklace

I've been experimenting with a lot of different uses for macramé, and jewelry pieces are some of my favourites. Here's how to make your own Macramé Necklace!

Materials

Steps

  1. Attach your 10 pieces of cord to the chain using Lark's Head knots. This will give you 20 working threads.

  2. Tie four square knots with the central pieces.

  3. Create 3 square knots on the next row, moving the outer threads aside.

  4. Create 2 square knots on the following row, continuing to move the outer threads aside.

  5. Create 1 square knot at the bottom to form a triangle shape.

  6. Secure diagonal double half hitches along the triangle edges to define the shape.

  7. Knot the sides together at the bottom point of the triangle.

  8. Trim the thread ends to your desired length.

  9. Adjust the chain length to fit.
