Finished coffee filter flower ball resembling a hydrangea

I love how these flower balls have a hydrangea look to them — they make a great addition to table decorations!

Materials

  • Coffee filters
  • Small polystyrene ball
  • Paper clips
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Fold a coffee filter in half several times to create multiple layers.

  2. Cut a curved shape along the open edge to form petal shapes.

  3. Open the filter and layer the cut pieces together. Pinch the centre to create a flower shape.

  4. Unfold a paper clip and push it through the pinched centre of the flower to secure it.

  5. Attach each flower to the polystyrene sphere by pressing the paper clip ends into the base. Repeat until the ball reaches your desired coverage.
