Why bring an ordinary bottle of wine to a Christmas Party, when you can bring a Santa bottle of wine!!

It was so easy to give this bottle a festive transformation, all you need is:

  • A bottle (any shape or size!)

  • Red, black and white wool

  • White pom pom

  • White pipe-cleaners

  • Some gold or brown card

  • Black buttons

  • Double sided tape

How to Make a Woollen Santa Bottle

Firstly, place a line of double-sided tape around the bottom of your bottle.

Using the tape to keep the first few lines of your wool in place, wind white wool around the bottom on the bottle. Continue winding the wool, switching between colours to create the effect of Santa's Coat as shown by the pictures below.

Make use of double sided tape throughout this process, especially when the bottle begins to taper at the neck, as the wool will otherwise slide.

Once you've finished winding the wool around the bottle, wind some white wool around the lid and use the double-sided tape to secure a white pom pom on the top.

Next, place white pipe-cleaners at the points where the white coloured wool meet other colours, and twist to secure at the back. Add a couple more to the top near the pompom.

Next, cut out a belt buckle from your gold or brown card - cut this so that it's height is just a little more than the height of your black strip of wool.

Use double-sided tape to place this belt buckle, and the black button onto your woollen bottle.

And that's it! You've successfully transformed your bottle into a festive creation!
